Are there convienience/liquor stores in walking distance from the port in Miami

Thinking of flying in the same day and would like to pick up: bug spray, water, and wine before departure. Any suggestions?

You should never fly same day.

 

That being said, Port Miami is right next to Downtown Miami. So while there is nothing in walking distance (1.5 mile+ walk up a bridge 20-30mins) there is plenty within a 5-10 minute taxi/uber ride away. Anything, CVS, Walgreens, Liquor stores, Wholefoods, Publix grocery store, Marshalls etc..

 

Whatever you want it is there.

There is also the trolley that does go into the port to take you up to Biscayne blvd. As Flymia states, there are plenty of stores right outside the port area where you can shop.

You'll find CVS, Walgreens and more right next to Port Miami.

Depending on where your ship is docked, walking to nearest convenience store can go from 1.3 (Celebrity) to 2 (RC Symphony) miles. Very hot in the summer but nice in the winter.

As mentioned in another post, the trolley is a very convenient option to move around Brickell/Downtown areas from Port Miami.

Just for information about Port of Miami than actually doing it... Can we check in and drop off our hand carries to our cabin and leave the ship for any of these shops/places?

OP is better off asking their taxi/Uber driver to stop on the way to the port - any CVS, Walgreens or Publix should have what they need. Easier than making the trip from the ship and back, but shop fast because the meter is running. ;)
