Guarantee Suite, How close assignment to sailing

Think about is this way:

Deck 5 is same level as the night club, casino and one deck up from the MDR.  One tired stairway hike up form the tender entrance

Deck 6 is the same level as the the theater and one deck below Seabourn Square

Deck 7 is the same level as Seabourn Square and one deck below TK, he Colonnade and the pool

Deck 8 is pool level, the Colonnade and TK and 2 decks below the Observation lounge.

Deck 9 who cares

Deck 10 same level as the Observation lounge (aka 10 Forward)

in short, not a bad deck on the ship :)

We got our assignment today. V5 on deck 6 a few doors down from our friends but $3000 cheaper.

from Hawaii its only a 9 hour nonstop so we leave next Saturday.

Does the cabin assignment come via email or is it included in the wallet? I ask because our wallet had me end delayed .

If you have an OBGTY, you won't get any notification from SB.  Just keep checking your "reservation" online and one day your stateroom number will magically appear.  We've taken 7 cruises on SB as OBGTY and our room shows up no sooner than 14 days but usually 7 days out.  We've never expect or have gotten upgraded above a V6.  As someone quoted on this thread, the more you pay the more you sway so a V7 isn't necessary any better than a V2.  Good luck.

First timers on Seabourn and just got our OB guarantee assigned on Encore departing Bali on 3 December - we booked at the entry OB price and have been allocated  a V5 Verandah suite on Deck 7 midships, supposedly a class that is twice the price of what we booked - we usually roll the guarantee dice when booking and are happy with this result I think

Now the wait - 11 Days to Go 🙂

We have just been assigned our OB cabin on Odyssey as V6913 which is a wheelchair access room. Is this bad?!

It won't have a bath, which is bad if you usually enjoy a soak in the tub during a cruise. But the advantage of that is there will be lots of space in the shower area itself. There's no walk in closet, instead there's a wardrobe (closet) and drawers set up in the room itself.

So is it smaller than the normal veranda suite?  Not worried about the bath but will miss the walk in wardrobe.  Looking at deck plans it would seem we are first cabin, so wondering if that is good or bad for using the veranda?

Thanks

I'm fairly certain that it's not smaller, it's just that the layout is different in order to allow for manoeuvring a wheelchair.

There are some photos of Quest suite 913 here - it's likely to be identical to the one on Odyssey.

I'm not sure about the veranda question, sorry.

Thanks for the link Isklaar, looks absolutely fine although did like the walk in wardrobe on the normal veranda suites, but being high should give us a fine view as we are on Deck 9.

Looking forward to a week of sunshine, good food and drink whats not good about that 😁.

Yes that was DEFINITELY THE ONE!  Missed Halifax, Bar Harbor and Salem  all 3. And when we got near Boston something happened with stabilizers and everything went flying - including the observation bar and all the wines in storage.

KK-mia,

I remember you from your picture.  That was one rough cruise.  We're thinking of doing it in 2019 if the prices come down a bit.
