fstuff1 Posted October 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2018 (edited) Casino OBC comes from your casino player's card tier level. Pearl gets $100 obc each cruise. Sapphire gets $200. etc. But it's not like the $100 Stockholder's obc, as i found out. Can't be used to buy CruiseNext certificates. (i experienced this the hard way. 😞 ) Can be used for items in an eatery besides food/drink. (i bought a couple of Starbucks cups.) BUT can't be used to buy Starbucks giftcards. (i was told this.) I'm assuming i can buy a 4day dining package with it? Can it be used for Excursions? What else can and can't it be used for? Prinz Posted October 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2018 What do you mean by OBC from the Casino exactly? Like OBC that you get when booking through the casino? Or do you mean the OBC that you get in your cabin on arrival, that's on a card. Which say they're specifically for food/drink. ( actually they function more like they will remove up to that amount from your bill, instead of being an actual listed credit ).
Sand and Seas Posted October 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2018 We get $400 OBC (Ruby Tier). I've used it for specialty dining, shore excursions, soda package and lots of gift shop purchases. Have bought watches and lots of Lancome/Estee Lauder. Also a couple of bottles of liquors. We have stopped picking the UBP as a promo as we use some of the OBC to cover a soda package and charging a couple of drinks outside of casino plus we are eligible for premium drinks in casino. Now the card in our cabin is the amount of non-refundable OBC they are giving us based on Tier level. Also, the host can comp additional amounts off your on-board bill based on your play. I haven't found anything they won't use if for. I think it's just like any other non-refundable OBC. Maybe someone else will reply if they know of something else. goldmom Posted October 17, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 17, 2018 I believe that it can also not be used toward the daily service charge.
Always Cruising Posted October 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 17, 2018 On some ships (in the last year), I was told it couldn't be used in the spa shop (lotions and potions!), but was able to use it recently on the Escape for that.
