goldiemom Posted October 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2018 We have only cruised Princess once and had early dining. Now that the dining times have changed, we moved to anytime dining. RCI/Celebrity always allowed us to reserve a specific table at the same time every night. Does Princess allow you to do this?
Rare Ombud Posted October 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2018 I don't know about now but in Alaska I went to the Explorers Lounge on the 1st day where one of the Maitre Ds assigned same time dining and same table / waiter. He was working with people who wanted to switch dining / get a standard dining time as ATD .... Picked 7:30 so a TD switch to 7:15 is almost perfect. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on the maitre'd and the demand for ATD. The maitre'd will have hours on boarding day. It will be posted in the Princess Patter. Arrive early, there will be a line. On most cruises you can call the dine line in the morning and request an ATD reservation. A limited number are accepted. In the past there were set reservation times, for example 5:30, 5:45, 7:30, 7:45. With the new TD time changes don't know if this will effect ATD reservation times. Mike45LC Posted October 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2018 My GUESS is that the new early dining times will shift a lot of people to Later Seating (which is now pretty early!) and/or Anytime Dining. This might make it harder for the Anytime Dining Maitre'd to give you a standing reservation.
