fishywood Posted October 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2018 The Royal class ships have significantly more than the preceding Princess ships. Some ships have had additional ones added during retrofits; Ruby Princess and Caribbean Princess now have large sections of Aloha deck balcony cabins paired up. Princess simply does not attract as many extended families with small children that request connecting cabins as other lines do. Families with teens are permitted book them on their own in nearby non-connecting cabins. And the vast majority of cabins with balconies have removable partitions so one can pass between neighboring cabins that way. Which is good enough for most as the connecting interior door reduces usable space and increases noise from your neighbors--which is why couples tend to avoid these cabins. jennybenny Posted October 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2018 We have had plenty to choose from on the cruises we've booked with our family friends (3 cruises so far). We do book far in advance.
GUT2407 Posted October 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2018 Probably not a huge demand.
