brightfeather Posted October 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Hi everyone, Can anyone help me with "when" the cruise lines will be coming out with itineraries for the Mexican Riviera for January - April 2020? Is it just going to be Carnival & Princess? What about Royal Caribbean and HAL, or NCL? Any help is greatly appreciated.
riffatsea Posted October 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Hi, Royal Caribbean left California and the Mexican Riviera many years ago. They don't do that route at all . HAL does it and some NCL also but Carnival and Princess do it most often. 2020 is a long way off. Be a bit patient.
CruiserBruce Posted October 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2018 HAL's schedule has been out for 6 or so months. Carnival is probably the only cruise line going there every week. Most of the rest are doing fewer...HAL does about half as many sailings to the Mexican Rivera as they used to. HAL's Oosterdam has about a dozen sailings during the window you asked about. Plus one or two others by Maasdam.
riffatsea Posted October 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Carnival has a brand new ship doing that route, the Panorama. HAL uses some of its very old ones on that route.

riffatsea Posted October 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Sorry if I"ve made an error about age of ships. My friends who have sailed from here with HAL have complained about old ships so maybe HAL "listened" and is providing a newer product?
MSN-Travelers Posted October 28, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 28, 2018 Take a quick look at Costco travel. They have cruises listed for the time frame you are looking at. Enjoy !!
brightfeather Posted October 28, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted October 28, 2018 Well, I think I've narrowed it down to Princess or Carnival's new Panorama ship going there. Our friends with kids might like that better than the Royal Princess, but we'll figure it out. :-)

riffatsea Posted November 3, 2018 #10 Share Posted November 3, 2018 Eurodam looks lovely! Glad HAL has sent some newer ships to San Diego! Since we live there perhaps now we'll consider a HAL cruise.
