nattsyster Posted October 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2018 Hello! Need a Uber from Mia to my hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Because I am from Sweden I don't have internet at my mobile. Is there any free WIFI that reach out in the area where I can order an Uber? Thanks Lena, Sweden
BNBR Posted October 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2018 That's a bad idea. You may not have the connection once you step outside to get in the car, etc. You should seek alternate transportation.

Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted October 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) The free wifi at MIA will carry right outside the door. I not only fly from there frequently but I'm there often picking up my visitors and my phone always grabs the wifi. You can stand outside the door and you will see across the lane where the Uber cars pull up. Your other choice is to order your Uber while at baggage claim like they wish. Before you do, go outside and see what door number you are at as they will ask you this. Then simply wait inside the door until the uber pulls up. You can send them a message of what you are wearing and tell them to let you know when you are there. They pick you up just about right where you walk out the door, only across one lane. It's not an issue at all and I wouldn't hesitate to use Uber this way. When it's hot and humid in the middle of the summer, I will sometimes wait inside the AC and do exactly this. BNBR Posted October 30, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2018 I guess the worst case scenario would be it doesn't work and you grab a cab. So sure, go for it.
