Simple Pleasures On Board

Being handed our ship cards.

Walking onto the ship.

Entering our cabin for the first time.  "Home" for the next xx days.

Being out on deck for departure.  Hearing the ship horn; if the start of a Transatlantic, knowing we will not see land again for at least six days.

Watching a violent storm at sea from Sky Lounge or our Deck 3 cabin.

Nightly dinners with the same interesting and cordial tablemates.  Realizing we are the last ones in the dining room.  Being asked by our waiter, "May I bring you a breakfast menu?"

Our first dance.

The moment, that can happen any time, that I say to myself "I am SO fortunate".

We shut down our cell phones and lock them up in the safe for the duration of the cruise.

We always book a balcony but, unlike most, we seldom use it as we like meeting new people and socializing.

We almost never order room service.

We almost never sit at a table for two and try to meet new people.

We only go to the buffet occasionally and prefer to be waited on.

For relaxation:

-In ports we have visited many times, we might stay on board and simply enjoy the ship

     -Hot tub

-Reading a book in the Solarium
