What a wonderful thread, thank you!By far the best thing about cruising for us is that we get to work out together. We are gym rats, we met at a local gym. Unfortunately, we cannot work out together because of our work schedules so we absolutely love waking up in the am on our cruises and

1. run the stairs on Reflection from top to bottom like crazy people followed by

2. weight lifting at the gym followed by

3. Persian Gardens session

If you see a couple running up and down the stairs in the am like maniacs- that's us, stop us and say hi or just join in on the fun!!!:)

Thank you for this topic! Excellent Idea!

Love:

The smell of the air at sea, the sound of the gliding ship on the ocean, the mesmerizing views of the waves, the reflection of the sun or moon on the ocean, the feeling of being carried by the ocean.

Being pampered and involved in daily activities based on choices rather than obligations.

Tasting / exploring the world, one port at a time, while feeling secured!

...and another thing is sitting down to dinner on our first night onboard (usually in Murano) and toasting our good fortune and wonderful vacation to come with a delicious, fragrant, glass of wine.

We have reservations for 1st night at 6 PM.  That was only time we could get or very late.  Do you know what time sail away is?  I'm wondering if I should move this to later.  Don't want to miss sail away.

What date, ship, departure port? Most times it's 4PM but it varies depending on the variables. It should say in your ship itinerary.

We are on the Reflection on Dec 7th.  I am so excited but also little anxious because I do not want to gain any weight.  I’ve lost about 70 lbs but gained 20 back.  We are in Aqua.  Can you share any tips on how you lose weight while cruising?  Thanks

Congrats on the weight loss. I personally can't say I've lost weight on a cruise. I'm much too indulgent for that. However I genuinely found that there were a lot of ways that Celebrity made it easier, by way of some great food options like Aqua Spa Cafe and the grill that serves fish, chicken ect at lunch. I'd combine that with a salad at lunch and it was wonderful!

Here's an article I on what I did on a Celebrity Cruise to keep on track. Hope it can help.

...and choosing between whether to read another chapter in the book I'm enjoying, stare at the sea, have a beverage or doing all three. (Interchangeably since reading and staring seem to be impossible to do simultaneously).

Thank you!  It had a lot of great tips.  I would be happy if I either didn't gain weight or only gained 2-3 lbs.

Luckily you can enjoy reading, sipping and listening to the sea all at the same time ...

Mmm... great thread! I've really enjoyed reading them.

For me it is the first dance with my wife in Ensemble lounge... the bar staff knowing my favourite vodka and offering it without me needing to ask... the staff in Luminae noting my favourites and being prepared to serve it to me on other days... making friends with fellow passengers whilst relaxing in Michael's Club or enjoying  the challenge of trivia... a bottle of Caymus... having an ice cream from the gelato kiosk without my wife knowing about it ----don't tell her!

Chilling on the balcony whilst at sea... yes, that is so special...

I also like to hit the hot tub in the evening.  I usually go around 8:00 while everyone else is finishing dinner or getting ready for dinner.  No one else is out there.  Just so relaxing.

This is a fantastic idea!  When we sail on Infinity next month I’m going to have to try and convince DH that we should skip formal dinner one night and hit the hot tub instead. (Then perhaps come back to the room and eat room service in our bathrobes!)

I like that idea but this was after an early dinner.  But we do like dinner in the room, kind of fun

So many things! Reading in the lounge chair, warm sun on my skin, I start to get tired and because I am cruising a nap is OK! I also love fresh fruit whenever I wish, sitting In the bathrobe on my veranda balcony , the sound of the sea pass when entering the ship! I love the customer service ! I also love live music ! Also the assortment of butter, tahini, etc with bread at dinner!

We will be sailing in 10 short days on celeb equinox! cannot wait. I am traveling with three cruise nubies (my husband, cousin and BFF! ) It should be amazing.

1.The end of the muster drill, then I am finally on vacation and no-one is telling me what to do.

2. turning off my cell after muster drill, I don't want email etc on my vacation, and dumping it in a drawer.

3. getting up to the sunset bar and enjoying a few, sometimes more, beverages with the package and not worrying about a huge bill

4. casinoing

5. luminae and speciality dining

6. using the bev. package a lot

….and sitting at the Sunset sipping a chilled glass of Chablis in the late afternoon as the sun is just starting to set and watching the wake.

That's the wake of the ship powering through the waves ----nothing to do with burials at sea! Hope not!
