Yes. The big island is called Hawaii.

Kailua is on Oahu and Kailua-Kona is on the Big Island.

Chasing Sunshine is correct - 2 different places.    That's why the 'Kona' is tacked on after "Kailua' if the reference is to the location on the Big Island.

OP, I think you need to give us some context as to where you’ve seen it. I’ve definitely seen cruise lines get lazy and drop the Kona part. No ships to go to Kailua on Oahu.

That’s what I thought. Yes, same place unless Celebrity’s is a shore excursion. They certainly don’t stop there.
