Specialty Dining 3 night package

We have purchased the 3 night package for specialty dining.  In the explanation is says that they will reserve your first night for day 1 or day 2.  My question is do you have to go on either day 1 or day 2 or can you just make all your own reservations when you board the ship for whichever days you want as long as there is availability.

Yes, one night must be night 1 or 2.

 

normally when booking it you get to choose night 1 or 2 and they choose the restaurant.

One of your three nights must be either night one or two of the cruise.

You can select the night and the time in yhe cruise planner, but not the restaurant. That will be chosen for you, and you won't know the restaurant until you board.

I believe you can then go to any of the restaurants onboard to book your other two meals, and even change the first one if you want..

It would be nice if they would let you make your reservations for all three nites online, (and choose which nites you want) but they do not. They force you to make only the first nite (either nite 1 or 2) only.

We wait until we get on-board.  There's usually a little table set up outside the Foodjammer on the first day.  They'll make your reservations then, or you can just purchase the package and call the maitre d to reserve a time at the restaurant of your choice. They may be running a "special" too if the number of reservations are low.
