Nassua Bus

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience using the bus to get to one of the resorts? We'll be going to The Breezes with a large group in Feb. And I'm just wondering are they safe? Would you recommend  cabs instead? Are they easy to find and navigate? Crowded? We're going with about 30 people ages 40-50, half women half men

Thank you!

Jitney bus transportation is easy, cheap and safe.  The #10 bus is located on George Street, just a few short blocks from the port gate.   When you leave the gate, walk forward 1 block to Bay Street.  Make a right and walk a couple blocks until you hit the straw market.  George Street is across the street from the far end of the market.  Buses are clearly marked and someone will be on the corner letting you know which bus is next.  Since each bus holds about 20 ppl, you're group may need to take 2 buses.   Fee is $1.25 pp, pay as you leave the bus.   Drivers don't make change.

Buses run from 6am - 6pm.. Leave plenty of time if you are traveling during rush hour.

Is #10 bus the only bus?  Where does it go to?

No, there are other bus numbers so make sure you get on the right one.   The #10 bus takes you back and forth on West Bay Street and will stop at places like the Fish Fry and the hotels on Cable Beach (Breezes, Baha Mar, Melia, Sandals).
