Hotel between FLL and Miami port.

We are flying into Fort Lauderdale on Friday  morning and cruising out of Miami on Saturday.

Any suggestions on hotels between point A and B.  Preferably something close to shopping and food.  We could stay anywhere between Fort Lauderdale and Miami doesn’t matter if we take the Uber Friday or Saturday morning.

www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel and tourist info.

Hollywood is sort of between the two, but unless that's where you want to spend the day it does not make sense - either stay in the FLL area and head to POM Saturday morning, or head to Miami or Miami Beach on Friday and then to the port.

Who is cruising, when, and budget will help the suggestions to be closer to your target.  The $300+ room in Feb can go for $100 or less in August.

In FLL we like the downtown/17th street area - lots of shopping and dining nearby and the water taxi is fun.

In downtown Miami look at the Mary Brickell area (Hampton Inn, etc.) or closer to the port (Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, Doubletree, etc.).  Marriott has properties all over Miami.

Come back with a few more details; good luck with your planning. :classic_biggrin:

We are travelling the first week in March. Budget is not really an issue.

Would pay to stay somewhere nice walking distance to basic shopping (target type place we will need coloring books and activities for our 4 year old) and food.

I would recommend the Hyatt Place on 17th St in Ft. Lauderdale.  Nice hotel with nice rooms and a great location. Walking distance to a nice mall and restaurants .  You can book on the internet thru Value trips  .  Prices range from $129 to $239

There is no reason to stay in between. Given you have an entire day location will be important. Ft. Lauderdale may have better prices. Look for something by the beach or near Downtown Ft. Lauderdale.

If price is not a big issue, something in Downtown Miami and Brickell would be great.
