After dry dock - Koningsdam

So, can anyone on board now, tell us about the changes within the ship now it’s back afloat again.

 Assume a great Rolling Stone Rock Room is now in operation, but have they made the casino Non Smoking, like so many requested?  This is the one thing which causes me grief at the tables.

I have no problem with people having a cigarette on the ship, but when one is so close at the tables it really does get on your chest and in your clothes, which is not pleasant.  Maybe a room within the casino where smokers could pop into for a swift ciggie if they need to, would work?

 

Look forward to any news from the ship before we join her in 2019

Off K'dam just prior to dry dock.  They had smoke free nights in the casino, as I believe all HAL do.  It will be interesting to see if that changes.  m--

On the Koningsdam now.  There is still smoking in the casino.  Staircase to the casino is still there.  Rolling Stone is where Lincoln Center Stage use to be.  LCS now shares the space with B.B. King.

Crew News noted that the Crows Nest still has the Explorer's coffee bar and internet on the starboard side and excursions office still down below.  HAL has been rebuilding the Crows Nest to incorporate EXC and merge the cocktail and coffee bars on other ships as they were drydocked, and that's the configuration on Nieuw Statendam.  Did this drydock not have enough time, or could HAL be reacting to all the complaints ?

Not too reassured about the casino smoking, but if they have some no smoking nights that will help a bit. 😊

Well that's just a list reasons for me to not sail on the Koningsdam...  Funny, but true.

 

Good info.  Just not happy with these outcomes.
