glittergal1 Posted December 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2018 Has anyone done the Rum tasting tour? is it worth it do you get to see the factory ?
mets123 Posted December 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2018 I would put it low on the priority list. It's nice but you no longer get to see the factory. It is now mostly pictures and displays. If you do go, don't go through the ship tours. Instead, take the ferry across and then the taxi. It's way cheaper and takes less time.
glittergal1 Posted December 16, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted December 16, 2018 yes we would do it ourselves, we were looking at the Rum tasting tour thats $50 plus tax so not cheap, on the website it says in includes a distillery tour however reading reviews people say it doesnt so we are not sure whether to go or not $50 + is a lot to spend if it doesnt
tw67 Posted December 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2018 We plan to do it next week, on our own. We will grab the ferry. There are only 3 of us drinking age, and then our 15 year old. $15 a person for the 3 old enough, and then the under 18 is free. I am doing this upon the request of our 20 year old who wants to see it.
Stinger-pr Posted December 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 20, 2018 The "tour" does not include a factory floor viewing. It's basically a walk though a small museum with pictures and props of the Bacardi rum history and and manufacture process. Then you exit through the gift shop (of course) where you're then directed to either the rum tasting, the mixology class or the "bottle your own rum" experience.
