Admittedly, I do not play table games or know the ends and outs of gambling but it seems that tipping may imply that the dealer is helping you win. The dealer is in no way control of what happens but can make sure we have the right amount to back our bets on the craps table which is always very helpful especially for a "don't better". And win or lose, I try to tip something when I leave the table, obviously more when I'm winning than when I'm losing. Always a pleasure when the Dealers win too. When I play craps, the dealers have to work a lot with my bets. I will press my bets sometimes and others take the win. Will someties have them working and other times take them off. I figure the dealers have earned a tip wheather I win or not. I will always tip the dealers as I leave the table anywhere from 2 % of my buy-in (usually $500) to as much as 5% of my winnings. Slot attendants also provide service - admittedly not to you personally, but they work long hours making sure that everything is running smoothly and are available to assist you if needed. If you win, the attendant is the one who fills out the necessary paperwork & brings you the winnings, which, to me, is no different than a waitress taking your order & bringing you your food. If I ever won big, I would be happy to tip! I did win $600 on a slot machine on the Elation but uploaded the winning and cash out and did not have any person interaction with any attendant. You only have interaction with an attendant if you win over a certain amount - the amount that they have to report to IRS - I think it's $1100 or so. You aren't able to download it - the machine will freeze up until an attendant comes to you. The IRS wants their share.
