One last note. Our roll call had close to 100 people signed up and we were supposed to receive invitations for a meet and greet but didn’t. Anyone know what happened?

This is something to take up with the M & G coordinator the CC member putting the event on.

M & G on the DAWN are usually held in Le Bistro deck 5 mid-ship near Gatsby's.

The M & G are held the first sea day at around 10-11am.

With 100 guests signed - should have been at least 50 showing.

Did you miss it because of the absence of the invitation ?

Went back to recall the Roll Call for your cruise sailing and sadly once the cruise is underway the roll calls vanish into

the Great Void unless bookmarked by someone.

I did not receive an invitation and the last I knew the coordinator was waiting to hear back from ncl as to time and place.

On my recent B2B Boston-Quebec cruise the M & G was not possible until the 5th day of the 7 day cruise -

hardly a productive timing - cruise almost over - thus no M & G.

Having ports stops everyday for the first few days of a cruise does not fare well for M & G.

On the return however the M & G was the first sea day (day 2) and while not a great deal of attendance

never the less rewarding - introductions made - activities noted and planned.

Thanks so much for your review! I really enjoyed reading it. We've been on the Dawn and liked the ship, but it definitely doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the larger ships. We have a 10-day coming up in March on the Jade with 6 islands and 3 full sea days. I agree it's nice to have some time to decompress after all that running around. I hope I have half your luck in the casino lol!

We have sailed with Roel on the Dawn before. We found him pretty useless and clueless (consistently giving out incorrect information to suites guests).

Our “Roel Experience” started in the embarkation terminal where he kept inviting people to enjoy some pre-boarding refreshments as he pointed to an empty table.

I  have cruised several times with Roel as the concierge; he is my absolute favorite. Attentive, helpful, knowledgeable. I will miss him sailing out of Boston. Just goes to show everyone has different opinions, and it's best to make your own determinations vs. what others say.

They let an Uber pick you up at the cruise port? Good to know. I thought they weren't allowed.

I have heard this from a few people. Maybe he had a lot of stuff going on maybe he is getting burnt out but he definitely wasn’t around much and was not eager or willing to offer assistance to us when I had someone else get a hold of him for us. In all fairness I did not pick up the phone to call him I just know that we never saw him at modernos for breakfast and our dining time varied and the one tender we had the meeting was in lebistro where there were several butlers but he wasn’t there. Never saw him anywhere until the last day of the cruise and like I  Said he just pointed which way to go for disembarkation and didn’t not walk us down.
