zoepipes Posted January 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2019 I'm from AZ and can make guacamole in my sleep, but I love Mexican food. If anyone has done this, is it worth it? If nothing else for the joy of eating guacamole and drinking margaritas :-).
leisuretraveler223 Posted January 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2019 I can't imagine a "guacamole" class being worth it. Paying for a class in this is like paying to learn how to boil water.
zoepipes Posted January 30, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted January 30, 2019 That was my thought which is why I ask - I didn't know if there was any entertainment value to it. . .
sibs Posted January 30, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2019 We did this. Son chosen to demonstrate. He is 21 and enjoyed. Also, didn’t have drink package so free margarita was good. Personal choice but we enjoyed lunch , drinks and entertainment.

Passengers would pay for it...
zoepipes Posted January 31, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted January 31, 2019 If it included a free margarita and guac, I probably would!
kjkrmk Posted January 31, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 31, 2019 We did this a year or so ago. It isn't just a "how to gut an avocado" class as some posts above suggest. It was a fun way to kill some time. The guac demo was pretty quick. They then did a demo on making the spicy margaritas as well as a brief lecture on the differences between Tequllia and Mescal with shots of each. appetizers, lunch, and dessert were included too. zoepipes Posted January 31, 2019 Author #10 Share Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) So you're paying for the shots (margaritas?), appetizers, lunch, dessert and the demos! Sounds like it's worth it if you're looking to pass some time, fill your stomach and socialize - not bad! Thanks for the input - definitely something I will consider.
