Inside GTY?? When do you get your room number??

We decided to take the savings and book a inside GTY. We did this on Disney and had our room number about 2 or 3 weeks before we cruised.

 

How does Carnival handle this???

It can vary on how well the ship is selling out. I have received my cabin asignment 47 and 50 days out. Enjoy the Miracle, we did and it is a beautiful ship. We also received a upgrade from a 4a to a 5a!

Usually when you get your docs. But remember, with a guarantee they can change your room assignment even after that. My last cruise my cabin was on my docs and stayed the same. Docs are generally received 4-6 weeks prior to your trip.

I don't mean to be facetious, but in all honesty it is whenever Carnival chooses to assign it. As someone has pointed out, it really depends on the individual circumstances, especially the number of confirmed bookings vis a vis the capacity of the ship

If you don't know. You go to the Carnival.com, click on fun pass and at bottom of page click on gifts. pick out something and hit enter and your cabin number will come up as GTY or your assigned number.

At 9 months out, you are not going to see an assignment.... wait until after final payment, then start checking. Good luck!!

Everytime I've booked a GTY I've not found out my room number until arriving at the port. It was actually kind of fun living through the suspense and then having the surprise at the port. A bit like Christmas. So far, I've always received at least a small upgrade and once I was bounced from a balcony cabin to a suite.

I have booked gty with ccl twice. 1st time, I didn't get my room assigment until boarding, the 2nd time I found out 88 days out using the order gifts method.
