Appreciate you sharing it here, especially as we'll be on a similar itinerary to yours, albeit on the Cloud. That's great to hear! I love your profile photo - Bumble is one of my all time favorite characters from childhood! LOL

I was expecting and fully prepared for maybe 2-3 days of sunnier skies and couldn't believe our timing. 🙏
bethtex Posted February 19, 2019 #30 Share Posted February 19, 2019 Travelgal - thanks so much for posting your blog. We are doing 10 day Antarctica in December on the Cloud. We have never been on SS and your report gave me a great idea of what to expect. I will email you for your packing list. We are doing 16 days LA-Chile before, so will need to pack as efficiently as possible.

CTnewcruiser Posted January 8, 2021 #34 Share Posted January 8, 2021 Hi! I would love to read your full review but the link doesn’t work anymore. If you have a new link, I would be very interested. It’s difficult to find really comprehensive reviews for this cruise😀.

cruiseej Posted January 23, 2021 #42 Share Posted January 23, 2021 Glad to get you to Antarctica. Now, if I could only get ourselves to Antarctica (in December), I'll be an ecstatically happy camper! 😉

I hope that you get to go there, as it is truly a spectacular destination that never fails to impress. We have been twice now and still, we always take a look at the itineraries to see if there is a new twist that might draw us back for the hat trick. The best Antarctica cruise I currently know of is with Aurora Expeditions on a brand-new ship, the Sylvia Earle. What makes this special? It visits the South Sandwich Islands, a very rare thing. https://www.auroraexpeditions.co.uk/expedition/south-georgia-antarctic-odyssey-south-sandwich-islands/

Hm... If we actually could take a month off it would be awesome!
Rare Fletcher Posted February 14, 2021 #48 Share Posted February 14, 2021 Anyone who, like us, is suffering from Antarctica withdrawal symptoms, I have been following the webcam from the RSS James Ross, part of the British Antarctic Survey. Some nice live shots of places we've been . . . https://www.bas.ac.uk/data/our-data/images/webcams/rrs-james-clark-ross-webcam/
