We booked a DV guarantee for the British Ilse Explorer Just learned we are in cabin 5080. It looks like a good location. Does anyone know the window/sliding door for this cabin?

Thanks for the info.

5080 is a DV cabin and I believe 100% of those cabins are sliders.  It is only the PV that have window/door configurations (from what I have gleaned from this board)

That's right. No room in a DV for both a slider and a door, so just a slider.

Congrats. That is a nice upgrade and a nice location--aft and just far enough from the elevators.

Thanks for the info. We have a wish list for the excursions.  Also planning our 4 days in London before boarding the ship.

Planning trip to Bletchley Park (Code Breakers during WWII) and Churchill's War Rooms. This is our 2nd trip to London and we did all of  the major Tour attractions before.

We are in cabin 5082 on Viking Sun’s world cruise leaving L.A. on Jan. 4; 2020.

We have an active roll call for this WC, come and join us. A number of us have booked the same hotel in San Pedro and we already have 1 private excursion fully booked.

We really liked the location of cabin 5080.  Very convenient to get the the many dining options.

We did order breakfast room service on days with early tours.  Everything was delivered hot, even the omelette.

We found the carafe of coffee, muddy.  We stopped ordering the coffee and just used the coffee maker in the cabin.

Really liked the roomy bath with lots of storage and very nice shower.  The DV cabin had plenty of room and storage for us.

We really enjoyed the Churchill War Rooms and our trip to Bletchley Park.  Learned about the Pigeons used for a secure line of communication during WWII.

Enjoyed our trip and have 3 more VO cruises booked.
