Suggestions for packing without wrinkling

We've always just taken one of those little travel spray bottles & spritzed our clothes

with water from the tap.  Almost without exception, they hang out beautifully by the

next day.

Easy care, light weight fabrics.  We fill our case but we do not overpack.  We buy clothes specifically for travel.  We are very light packers.

My secrets:

(1) never pack anything but wrinkle-resistant knit fabrics - I haven't packed anything that is woven in years!

(2) don't care what other people think about your clothes - if people are that concerned about my clothes, they can do my laundry/dry-cleaning/ironing/packing.

 

Even on land, I don't own an iron. I pull clothes from the washer as soon as the cycle is finished, and I take great care when I hang my clothes to dry (always inside on a drying rack, never outside on the line). Friends, family & co-workers are amazed that I can be so wrinkle-free without an iron.

In December my sister sent her gala night dress for pressing to have the creases removed, which were caused by packing.  It came back pressed and folded with the exact same creases put back in the outfit.

Packing cubes for us too...but...we have also learned to have " cruise clothes" that rarely get used other than for traveling...all poly based...can roll in a ball and will never wrinkle, other than DH suit or sport jacket...has simplified our lives a lot. Of course we've achieved 5*, too, so can always send things out to the laundry.
