How to best use Barclay card points

I see we can get a $250 gift card for 25000 points, is there a better use of the points?

Saving pts til u reach 100,000 will net u $1500 to spend towards your Carnival cruise & is the best utilization of Barclaycard funpoints 🙂

But be careful, they expire.  I think as each point turns 5 years old you lose them.

If you have a $1,500 or more cruise purchase, you can redeem toward that at 1.5 times the points - so that same 25000 points would get you a $375 statement credit.

I am new to the Barclays Carnival MasterCard.   Is there a place where I can view a “menu” of things I can use points for? I’ve tried to research this while logged into their website, but since I don’t have enough points for anything yet, it will not let me see any of the offers.

As long as your card is open, active and in good standing, your FunPoints do not expire.

 

Redemption values for eligible transactions are: 
Carnival Cruise transactions of $1,500.00 or more = 1.5%  
Carnival Cruise transactions of $50.00 - $1499.99 = 1%  
World's Leading Cruise lines transactions of $50.00 or more = 1%  
Airfare or hotel transactions of $50.00 or more = 0.90%

Carnival Cruise transactions with a value of $1,500 or more offer you the best redemption value. 100,000 FunPoints may be redeemed for a $1,500 statement credit toward an eligible purchase.

 

You have 180 days to pay yourself back for a statement credit toward eligible purchases!
