Thoughts on Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell

 Has anyone ever stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell either pre or post cruise? What are your thoughts of this hotel?

Read down this board as it is suggested a almost every day. Lots of nearby dining and shopping options and a good free breakfast.

Its on the border for Brickell, location is pretty good and fairly walkable. Just not as central as some other popular hotels. Regardless, close to tons of shopping, eating, drinking and mass transit. Very close to the port. It is a good location. 

 

I would just trust the reviews on tripadvisor and hotel booking sites regarding how it is to stay there.

We stayed there in 2016...very nice! Clean rooms, manager's reception was dinner for us with good food, great breakfast buffet, couple of blocks to the free People mover which got us to Bayside Marketplace. I think we paid 20 for an UberXL to port...regular Uber would've been less.

Homewood Suites Brickell (Not Hampton Inn Brickell) is on the southern end of the business/restaurant area of Brickell.  It’s an area that has had quite a bit of construction and has some nice hotels and condo buildings now.

Very walkable to Brickell.  The Publix that is a short distance away also has a stand alone pharmacy and stand alone liquor store.  

Restaurants are a 10 minute plus walk.  You can also easily get to the metro mover and train station very easily.

We just stayed there on Dec 29th before our cruise.. nice hotel, clean and a good breakfast.. You can walk to the people mover from there and go downtown to Bayside . Also there is a grocery story and pharmacy very close. There were 2 of us both female and we did walk at night without any problems
