Casino at Sea Booking Question

I received a land based casino certificate for an OV for two.  The cruise options we were given did not work for us so we opted to take a credit toward a cruise of our choice. We choose a 7 day on the NCL Escape to Bermuda in a Balcony. For this particular cruise when booking a Balcony you may choose all offers.

When I checked or email we were only given 3/4 free, WiFi and $50 Shore Excursion. I phoned CAS and was told that the original offer was for an OV and the OV's only get to choose 3 for this sailing. I said oh, okay thank you. When I told my husband he reminded me that we didn't book this cruise with the casino's original offer we took the credit, it should not matter.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Thank you in advance for your time.

If it's a land based casino voucher, that casino is essentially your Travel Agent.  They pick all the rules and prices and you can follow them and go at those prices, or completely ignore the voucher and find a new TA.  As far as I know, Casino at Sea is a NCL thing, independent of the land based casino offers   They will give you offers based on your play on the ship.    FWIW, if its a land based casino, you need not feel "obligated" to gamble back the cost of the cruise, as they will never know how much you gambled.   Only NCL's CAS will.

These are basic informations I learned when pondering my Land Based Casino Voucher as well.

As someone else mentioned, you only get the perks of an ocean view.  You basically picked an ocean view, and paid for an upgrade, even if the cruise was not one listed in the brochure.  And CAS does handle land based offers as well as their own.

Our CAS offer was earned at a land based casino but is a CAS offer to get you on the ship.  Our brochure that came with the certificate is a CAS brochure and we called CAS to use the certificate.  All CAS rules apply to our booking.
