Anchorage museums

We have one full day in Anchorage. We want to go to a museum but don't know which would be better. Either the Anchorage Museum or Alaska Native Heritage Center? I know there is a ticket for both but I think that will too much.

I should say we are 6 adults, no kids. Any guidance is appreciated.

Haven't been to the Alaska Native Heritage Center but we (two adults) certainly enjoyed the Alaska Museum.  I loved the numerous displays of Inuit costumes and artifacts and my husband's favorite was the great earthquake section.

The Alaska Native Heritage Center is more than just a museum in my opinion. It a living, interactive display of traditional native culture. That would be my choice.

Went to both last year and enjoyed both, but definitely preferred the Alaska Native Heritage Center

I agree.  Have not yet visited the Anchorage Museum, but expect to do so this Summer.

I have a done both, and would recommend the combined ticket.  With a full day in Anchorage I would consider doing both.
