Flights

We have been issued or flights to malta for our cruise in October. We dont land until 18.40 which means getting late on the ship.

Has anyone had any success in  changing the flights through P & O to earlier in the day or maybe even the day before?

we had this problem last year when we flew to malta for our cruise on the oceana our flight didnt land until 6pm  we found it all a rush when getting on the ship Eg finding our cabin and then the muster drill we asked our T/A about earlier flights but we were told the earlier flights were full good luck

We also had a late flight last year when flying out to Valetta.  We couldn't change as the earlier flights were full.  Unfortunately our plane was delayed due to a fuel spillage so we didn't land until 8pm local time.  Consequently we missed the muster drill and a special one was put on for us at 9.30pm or we could have opted to have one at 9am the following morning.  We went to the 9.30pm one as we didn't fancy having to go first thing in the morning and possibly miss breakfast.  

On the return journey we opted to do the tour of Valetta which then dropped us at the airport.  It was a good use of the afternoon and we saw a lot of the island.  We felt it was worth while.

Hi, I would suggest you call P&O asap to enquire about alternative flights. You will have a better chance of getting what you want now rather than leave it until nearer the time.

We have the same problem going to valletta in august this year don't land until 6pm. Our travel agent phoned p and o and they said all early flights were already booked up as this was very early january I was quite surprised they did say we could change our flight out to another airport which had availability in the morning but it wasn't cost affective as we would have had to pay admin charges for changing our flight and as said airport was alot further away we declined!!!

P&O should see the late arrival and helay the ship, if they say "you're too late" then you can start arguing the case.
