TPgal Posted February 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2019 Most land based restaurants have a caveat on their corkage plan that you don’t bring the wines they serve. We usually get around this by bringing an older vintage and maybe offering the server a taste. On NCL can I bring a Veive Clicquot and pay corkage? Seems like we come out ahead based on published prices. Thoughts?
Sauer-kraut Posted February 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2019 (edited) You may bring ANY wine on board without limit, paying the $15 fee on each 750 ml bottle. Edited February 28, 2019 by Sauer-kraut
Rare OrcaGirl Posted March 1, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2019 Does NCL allow you to 'pay' the corkage fee using on-board credit?

The corkage is charged to your onboard account, so any OBC you have is automatically used against it.

Yes, the charge is collected when you board the ship. There is no way to tell if you open it or not.

They put a sticker on the wine so if you have the unopened bottle with the sticker on it then they know you haven’t opened it. I’m not speaking from experience, but others have reported getting a refund for umopened bottles.
jdvmd Posted March 2, 2019 #9 Share Posted March 2, 2019 You have to take the unopened bottle along with the charge slip you signed when boarding. Take all to Guest Services the morning of disembarkation before they close out the accounts at 8 a.m. to request your refund of the $15 corkage fee.
