Extending Expiration Date of CruiseNext Certificates

Has anyone had any success in contacting NCL to extend the expiration date of the certificates? If so, how far in the future would NCL extend them?

I was able to use my CN Cert expiring at the end of Feb '19 on my Oct '19 cruise booked this past January. I called after i booked when i couldn't apply it online and that's when i was told you have to cruise by the exp date and not just use by exp date (how i mistakenly thought it worked). Rep i spoke with contacted a Spvsr who agreed to let me apply the CN Cert with caveat that i would lose it if i cancelled or made material booking change after the Feb CN Cert exp date.  I thought that was more than fair.

wow..i dont remember reading about that. i thought if you booked before the expire date it was ok. looks like i might have a problem using up one of my cert next year 😞

I was able to use mine that expires in July 2019 for my November 2019. However I also was told if I cancel or rebook and don't use it by that date I lose it.

I also used one that was soon to expire - had to have a cruise booked that I wanted it applied to.  And the same rules that if I cancelled or changed it significantly, I'd lose the credit.
