RedRover96 Posted March 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2019 Just pour it in and some will make 2 drinks for you to pour in. Or if you are getting off for a shore excursion just keep stopping @ different bars until your Yeti is full....
RHilla619 Posted March 6, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2019 I would imagine they won't handle your Yeti for health/sanitation reasons. Not accusing you of being dirty so don't take it personally lol, but if you pick up some type of virus and are using the Yeti which you then pass to the bartender who handles it, makes your drink, and then continues to make other peoples drinks that's a really quick way for that virus to spread around. Keep in mind if you have the drink package you can order 2 drinks at a time, 4 drinks if you use your travel partners card too. Not very difficult to get the Yeti filled up in 1 trip to the bar, although like you said not very environmentally conscious. Double edged sword I suppose.
Shorty6095 Posted March 12, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2019 I just was on the Pearl last week. It seemed like it all depended on the bartender. Some would pour into glasses and then let me pour it in my Yeti. But most others would rinse out my Yeti, put in ice and pour two shots into it. My mixer was always red bull, which I was always charged separately for since its not included in the UBP. So I'd always pour the can of redbull in myself, which was fine. kskelley40 Posted March 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2019 When we were on the Star in January my favorite waiter in the casino noticed my big cup and would just take it to the bartender. The bartender would then make my drink straight into my cup. The cup was so large that there would be 3 drinks in it at a time. I did have the drink package so that helped. At other bars when I wanted soda, they would just fill my cup instead of using a plastic one. I think it really depends on the bartender/waiter and how nice they are (and you are to them!) vacation44 Posted March 13, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 13, 2019 They did for us on the Getaway last year. Plan on bringing them again on the Escape in May.
nednrom Posted March 13, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2019 They would ask us to take the lid off and pour the drink in it but we didn't have frozen drinks - our drinks were all on ice.
Rare Peachypooh Posted March 13, 2019 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2019 NCL is pretty focused on cleanliness (washy washy etc.) that I am surprised that they do this. All it takes is for one person that wasn't conscientious to wash out their cup first and there might be spread of illness. I am sure that the person who asked this question would present them with a clean cup but others who are not that aware of hygiene might not.
RedRover96 Posted March 13, 2019 #10 Share Posted March 13, 2019 It's real simple people, don't set yourself up for disappointment, order 2 drinks, pour them yourself in to your large cup and move on!!!
