Tell me everything

Help!  I am a group leader for a travel club where I work.  We normally do bus tours but are thinking about a cruise.  The group ranges in ages from early 50's up. I have cruised before but on Carnival.  We have found an 8 day cruise through MSC that we like.  Please tell me everything I need to know.  I need dress codes, extra charges, etc.. Anything that you think would help.  I have looked on the website for answers but am a bit overwhelmed.  Thank you for any help you can provide.

Thank you for your super detailed and helpful review. I have been doing research for our cruise the past three days, have done tons of reading here on cruisecritic, and I have to say that your review is just outstanding.
