Disembarkation Query

Hi, we are doing our first ever cruise and have a query re disembarkation at our final port which is Barcelona.  The itinerary shows us disembarking at 8am.  We have organised a ½ day highlights tour with Barcelona Day tours who allow you to bring luggage and drop us off at the hotel after.  They have quoted a pick up time though, of 8.30 am.  I’m not sure of the process or time involved to disembark, how close to the ship the tour pick ups would be and am wondering if this 8.30 am pick up would be a problem collecting our luggage first etc?

When we disembarked in Barcelona I remember it went smoothly. The tour company I am sure has a handle on disembarkation and I would be confident about 8:30.

The only question is whether this is a private tour or not.

If former, they will definitely wait; if latter it might be a different story, depending on how much after 8:30 you can be there.

That said, disembarkation in Barcelona is usually easy and you should be fine.

Thanks for the replies.  It’s a shared tour run for a minimum of 4, maximum of 12 people.  We are their first booking.

We did a full-day tour after disembarking in Barcelona last November with 2 other couples & had no problem at all. It was a great way to see the city, get to the hotel & have someone else tote the luggage. No problem at all meeting up.

On your disembarkation questionnaire ask to disembark at 8 - that way you’ll have time to collect your luggage and still meet your guide by 8:30
