cebee123 Posted March 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2019 Sailing on the Getaway in December with my sister in law. We have a $100 shipboard credit, and I was wondering how this works since we share a reservation but will have separate accounts? Will we be able to ask them to credit $50 for each account? Or are we expected to fight it out on our own? 😉 Not to say my sister in law would use up the whole $100 on day one...but, yeah, she would. Rare luv2kroooz Posted March 12, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2019 They typically allocate the OBC between passengers 1 and 2. No, you shouldn't have to fight it out on your own.
KarlChilders Posted March 12, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2019 We are also on Getaway in December (1-8). We have 200 OBC and it shows on our reservation as 100 for me and 100 for my wife.

All charges will also show up on that account as well.

If not the DVR will be set. That's what I get for getting married the last Saturday after the regular season, the year before they started the championship game. brookie848 Posted March 12, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 12, 2019 We have three in our cabin for our upcoming cruise, with $600 OBC from Norwegian. It is separated into $250 for person #1, $250 for person #2 and $100 for person #3. This is fine with us, since we all share an account on the ship. Ask for an amenity report if who the OBC is designated to is not obvious on your reservation. You may be able to have the OBC moved around, but we've never tried to do that. In our experience, the OBC has rarely gone only to person #1 on the account. Again, though, I think it depends where the OBC is coming from. Yes, my comment was specific to if the account is shared. I assumed if you were with your wife that it was shared. I believe you answered the OPs question though since they are on separate accounts. We actually are on one, and the charges all apply to the same balance despite that they are listed as split to each of us. I was, as you said, just trying to let the OP know it should work out in their situation. I wonder how it would work in their situation if they took the excursion credit, since it is per cabin and shows on Pax 1?
marktwothousand Posted March 12, 2019 #11 Share Posted March 12, 2019 I have a goodwill $100 credit assigned to me, valid for one year due to a customer service issue. It says it can be used for anything except the casino, and that it cannot be used for anything except payment of an on-board account. however when I play casino, it just gets deducted from my on-board account and I settle up at the end of the cruise. therefore, how do they stop the $100 credit from being applied to the casino charges?
