Inverness city, is it walkable town

Is Inverness city is walkable town?   Are there point of interest that we can do on our own, any suggestion would be appreciated.

Yes it is very walkable.  Going up to the Castle seems the steepest part.  Walking through the city and along the river is pleasant.

It is definitely walkable and although it's a nice enough town, there's not a huge amount to see. I'd recommend visiting the beautiful countryside instead when you're at Invergordon.

This would be my recommendation as well. There are some outstanding castles in the area - Cawdor & Dunrobin come to mind. Loch Ness is an option and if you are a history buff, I recommend Culloden Battlefield. 

Visiting whiskey distilleries are also an option.

The surrounding countryside is simply gorgeous & the village of Dornoch is one of my favorites in Scotland.

It also depends where you dock in Inverness, you may be well out from the walkable bit, check your docking location.

It will be Invergordon GrJ. The ships don't actually don't in Inverness although it is often shown as such on the itinerary like Paris when it is Le Havre or London / Southampton
