Day 3 - At Sea Compass & Adventure Ocean Program

The Schooner bar is beautiful.  I love the Oasis class ships, but when we were on the Jewel, we kept saying, “Look, you can see the ocean!”  The inside venues with the ocean views are very nice.

A Nice Surprise!

 

We docked downtown this time!  Last cruise, we did not.  So, this was a nice surprise.  We expored the road less traveled, trying to find the local market.  It seems like the local markets don’t open as early as the touristy parts...  We will need to do more research before we return in November, as we really want to stop by a local market for an authentic Mexican Farmer hat.

I've missed a couple of days, but I'm back and I'm all caught up. Glad you got a more comfortable chair on your balcony! I'm short, so I know exactly what you mean when you say a chair is uncomfortable when your feet don't reach the floor! 

 

We hope to sail out of Tampa one of these days. I just have to find the right combination of date, itinerary, and ship that fits our schedule.

Fitness Center:  (Saw me 4 times this week 😁 3 times to lose the fight against calories, one time to take pictures)

 

 

 

Wish they would get more of these upright bikes, and at least turn some of them to face the ocean... Only treadmills face the ocean:

There is a "usually" very quiet location similar to that on Liberty that DW and I liked to relax in... when all of a sudden, out in the middle of the ocean, with no other ship in sight, the ship's horn blew. I'm sure the Captain must have been showing off the horn to some kid that was on the bridge for a ship tour, but we pretty near had a heart attack 😵.  So, on Brilliance... is this location all the way forward as well ? 🙉, Looks like it is.

Oh, my!  That would be quite an unwelcome surprise 😂  This location is sort of forward - just above the fitness center.  There is another “secret hideaway” at the very front, which I will post later today.... Hopefully the wind will not carry me off 😉

Walk all the way forward along the jogging track on deck 12.   This is the view of the staircase from inside the fitness center.  The yellow arrow indicates where the stairs are:

 

 

Even now, on a sea day, there are about 8 of these loungers available:

Sea Day Lunch in the MDR:

 

We learned from last week that the Char Grilled Chicken is our favorite.  So, we all ordered that dish again.  We enjoyed the Praline Chocolate Crunch and the Caramelized Banana dessert too:

Ooooo Thank you so much.  Secret Hideaways and areas are my 3rd favorite spots on ships.
