Transportation MCO to Port Everglades

Because of the elevated cost to fly in and out of FLL next Feb, we are considering flying into Orlando. Does anyone know of any shuttle/transportation companies that do this run? We have checked into car rental but that would involve picking up at Orlando, dropping off at Fort Lauderdale before cruise then the reverse following the cruise. Thoughts?

You can look at Megabus and others, but one way car rentals are likely your best bet.

Car rental will be your best bet. In Ft Lauderdale, find a drop off/pickup office near the port with complimentary transportation to the port.

Did you consider flying into PBI?

We have 3 major airports in South Florida.  Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach.  You really can't get a decent flight in to any of them?

 

I'll echo what others have suggested, one way car rental makes the most sense.  Just figure the costs of the car rental, gas, tolls (about $20) and 4 hours of your time.  If that makes it worth flying in to Orlando, then go for it!

Surpsriginly, sometimes the answer is yes. One time we flew into Melbourne to sail out of Ft Lauderdale. And there are times when I’ve flown into Fort Myers and rented a car to go to Ft Lauderdale on non-cruise visits.
