each their own I guess. I am with you. Coves are smelly/claustrophobic/too close to the water

We've been in at least 6 coves and never experienced a smell. Have 4 more booked for the future. And we love being close to the water seeing flying fish, diving birds, porpoises from a closer range than on a higher deck. The balcony is bigger square footage than a regular balcony.

And I understand your "each to their own." Not arguing with you. Just our feelings.

Personally I'm glad there are a lot of people that feel that higher deck = better. It gives us cove lovers a better chance of getting the room we want. 🙂

In what sense are they nicer? This would have been my first cove experience

More room on the balcony; being so close to the water that you can hear the ocean; balcony is covered so you can still sit out there in the rain and you are protected from the harsh Caribbean sun.

Great deal for the fact you're no longer under the kitchen!!

My wife loves Cove Balconies, I'd rather be higher up....my wife usually wins!

We've booked 4 Cove Balconies (Dream & Breeze) and have never been under the kitchen. We book the forward Cove Balconies.

Never a problem for us.
