Amsterdam port questions

we will be debarking a TA .  Never disembarked  in a Europe port before. Are there porters in the cruise terminal, and if so , what is the process (Tips or what)

Also , what transportation options ,like taxis, available, for a person with mobility issues. Thanks.

Do the mobility issues require the use of a scooter or wheelchair? Would you require a van with a lift? If so, you would need to book a wheelchair accessible taxi/van.

i use a walker. I cannot walk long distances due to back pain.  Handling luggage is the issue.

you should be OK  with a walker

If you are catching a flight that day I would prebook  a taxi though

Ah, then a regular taxi would suit you fine. Will you be staying in Amsterdam or transferring to Schiphol? There is a taxi rank at the cruise terminal. You can also pre book your taxi (especially useful if you must transfer to Schiphol for a flight) - rate calculator here:

There are luggage porters in the terminal that will assist you - I would tip about a euro or two. Tipping in Europe is very different from the USA. Tipping etiquette re: Netherlands here:
