MSC Preziosa - two questions

We're doing a Med cruise on Preziosa at the end of the month which will be our first with MSC. We have the benefit of the loyalty program match with our RC Diamond Plus status which gives us Black on Preziosa.

Q1. Are there any bars/lounges exclusive to Black members as there are on RC ships?

Q2 (not related to loyalty status). Are there any areas inside the ship where smoking is allowed?

Thanks in anticipation

There is No special bar for Black card holders, but there are so many different bars, so you Will Easy find your favorite bar.

I am not a smoker but I Think to Remember there is an area in the Casino for smokers.

Smoking was permitted in part of the Safari Lounge, Yacht Club Top Sail Lounge and in the Casino (players only).  Subsequently smoking has been banned in the Top Sail Lounge when sailing in Caribbean unsure of their policy when in the med.  Don’t worry there will be plenty of places to smoke, the ship stinks of cancer.

I have just returned from a lovely cruise on the beautiful MSC Preziosa and the only place you can smoke indoor is a part of the casino. There are smoking areas on the promenadedeck and the pooldeck. One very popular outside bar which have a smoking section is the Garden Bar aft on deck 15. Lovely views as well. There are plenty of bars and lounges onboard and my favorites are the bars around the elegant atrium on deck 5, 6 and 7. Every evening there is live classic music there as well. Another great lounge is the Safari Lounge aft on deck 7. No bars for Black Members but there is a Black Card Holders Party during your cruise with the ships officers. You will get an invitation in your cabin. Enjoy this beautiful ship and have a great cruise 👍

Apologies for resurrecting this old thread. I’m thinking of booking a cruise on the Preziosa, can you tell me whether the smoking area was on the port or starboard side of the promenade deck? Would hate to book a balcony cabin overlooking this area.

Hi Carol hope you and Mick are Well. Smoking i read some where is on the port side of the pool area.

I've already booked a cruise on this ship for the week before Xmas this year!🎄🎅 It will be just me and my daughter. I've always wanted to go on this ship so booked as soon as it was on the website! We've gone for a balcony cabin right at the back of the ship. 😀

Hi Suzanne, yes we’re good thanks, looking forward to our next cruise on P&O Iona in just over 3 weeks. Hope you and Nick are well too.

I’m thinking of booking Preziosa for over New Year. I was so disappointed when our Magnifica sailing got cancelled last December, thought I’d try again this year lol. Still waiting for the refund from that though ☹️
I was a little concerned when I read that there was also a smoking area on deck 7 on Preziosa. I’m considering a balcony cabin on deck 9 and I really don’t want be overlooking that area. I hope someone who has sailed on her can confirm one way or another.
