jtdlmc Posted April 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2019 They are not available to purchase in the gift section of my personalizer. Are they usually available to purchase on board or should we bring them from home? Would like them for coffee/hot chocolate on our Alaskan cruise and to keep my hands warm when partaking in the frozen drinks 😁
jeromep Posted April 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2019 How soon is your cruise? Gift items can come and go from the personalizer between when you first book and when the cruise commences; presumably depending on inventory, information about products that will be available when you sail, etc. If it will be a while until you cruise I suspect that mugs will show up as a pre-sale again. If your cruise is right around the corner they may be turning off pre-sales in anticipation of that sailing. Princess does love to sell things on board, therefore I would be surprised if there were not thermo mugs available for sale in the shops when you get there. jtdlmc Posted April 23, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted April 23, 2019 Thanks for the info. You are probably right, our cruise is less than two weeks so I will plan to bring some from home or pick up a couple in Vancouver just in case they have none for sale. I have always seen a few different choices in the gift shop onboard. 1
JF - retired RRT Posted April 24, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2019 We bought "thermal" mugs from the International Cafe. They had a metal body with a plastic liner and a lid. IIRC they cost $10 each. Not worth the expense (although we used OBC, so not out much). They didn't really keep anything warm for very long and after maybe a dozen washes the inner liner came out (had to be careful not to tip it too far or it would fall out). Go to Amazon or Walmart and buy something that will last longer.
