Monte Carlo to Eze - taxi fare

I understand there is a monopoly in Monte Carlo, so there's only one taxi company.  Ubers are not allowed.  I'm there in June on a cruise and was wanting a reasonable taxi instead of getting Bus 121.  Does anyone happen to know an approximate taxi rate from Monte Carlo Port to Eze?

I suspect that anyone who has taken a taxi is still comatose after paying the fare :).  Since nobody is helping you I can only offer you some info based on 4-5 years ago.  Taxi fares in MC (and France) can be somewhat negotiable...especially when the driver knows you are off a cruise ship :(.  Expect to pay 40 - 50 € (one-way) unless you are a shrewd negotiator and its a slow day.  Also keep in mind that there are seldom taxis just sitting around at Eze Village waiting for return fares.   You could probably rent a small car for the entire day for about the same or less money then using a taxi to get to and from Eze.   Based on the actual distance the fare should probably be around 30€...but good luck in finding that fare.

The sad thing about the South of France is that taxis are very expensive which probably helps explain why they have an excellent bus system.

I lived there once and mostly used the bus from Monaco via Eze to Nice via the Moyenne Corniche. Traffic can be quite heavy.  It still is bus 112 starting near the Tourist Information (Place du Casino) but certainly with other stops in the direction of Eze (example: Jardin Exotique).  Takes about 15 minutes.   Once in an hour.

Still looking for an answer on this....  has anyone done a taxi recently from Monte Carlo to Eze?

The official taxi fare to Eze is 45 euros:

You might be better off with a private transfer company or an excursion.  The bus is an option, but not the train.

Reason: Train is sea level and Eze village is not.
