Booked Bliss Xmas MC (GTY) - I can get BF (GTY) for $400 less - which one?

Booked a MC (GTY) cabin for Dec 2019 and I could downgrade to a BF (GTY) for $400 less -- should I save some money?

I hear the only difference between Minisuite and Balcony is a bigger washroom -- is it really just that?

Better chance for a bid upgrade in a minisuite?

Yes, a Minisuite is the exact same layout as a balcony room but the shower is bigger.

The difference is in  the bathroom. Full size (bath tub side) shower, double sink, and larger area around toilet.

We always book minis for the shower space.

Last cruise (Bliss) we booked MC (GTY) and got M8 - unfortunately it had a bathtub instead of the big shower!

Had we known about it I'd have asked our PCC to change. Not sure if it was possible to change.

Do you still get the chance to bid if you book at GTY cabin?

And why do they call it "Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony Guarantee" -- don't all Minisuites have balconies?

Or, as I have read, you had 4 in a cabin and they would rather upgrade a cabin of 2 than 4 (at least into the Haven).

As the OP states it's an Xmas cruise, there will be no chance of winning any bids or upgrades as the Xmas cruises are very full - above the double occupancy (and so are the New Years cruises).
