Canceling Ship Excursion

Trying to confirm an answer for someone on our roll call.

 

If you cancel a ship excursion prior to sailing, does your refund go back to your credit card? If you cancel after the start of the cruise but 48 hours prior to the excursion, do they issue on-board credit and if so, if you don't use that on-board credit, does it get refunded to your credit card? Thank you in advance.

If you cancel 72 hours in advance of the cruise, the refund goes back to the credit card.

 

If you don't cancel prior to 72 hours before the cruise, I'm not sure you can cancel until you are onboard, which would result in refundable on board credit.
