Rare Turtles06 Posted May 26, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2019 (edited) For several years, Celebrity has run a westbound TA in the fall from Southampton to Florida by way of Boston, then an overnight in New York (Manhattan Cruise Terminal), then an overnight in Bermuda, a port call in Nassau, and on to Florida. Celebrity calls this "Boston, Broadway, and Bermuda." We did this TA last fall on board the Silhouette, which is our favorite ship. We love TAs, and this one was fun (despite some itinerary changes so that we could avoid a major storm moving across the Atlantic). It's a crazy itinerary! Celebrity will be offering the same cruise this fall, leaving Southampton on October 24. Edited May 26, 2019 by Turtles06
jamacka Posted May 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2019 Like Turtles, we did the westbound TA from Southampton on the Silhouette last fall. Our first port of call was Boston but we were delayed arriving there by a day because of poor weather crossing the Atlantic. Our second port was NYC and we did overnight there which was a lot of fun. We didn't book any excursions for any port because we anticipated the likelihood of bad weather and the chance we might have to drop a port (we ended up missing the Bahamas). We are very familiar with Boston because our daughter use to live there. We'd been to NYC the preceding spring and were comfortable free-wheeling it. When we reached Boston the day before we called up and ordered tickets to a Broadway show for the following night. We arrived in NYC mid afternoon and got off, had dinner in the city and saw our show. The next day was raining so we took a cab to the Metropolitan Museum in the morning. It had stopped raining by the time we got out so we walked through Central Park, had a meal at Tavern on the Green and then took a cab back to the ship. It was a great trip.
