Monte Carlo casino tour

I am reading on the Monte Carlo casino website that there are tours available during the mornings from 9 AM until 1 PM for 17 Euros (40 min). There is no further information. Has anybody taken this tour and can you tell me how much you're able to visit and if one needs to come at a specific time? I am not interested in gaming but am interested in seeing the beautiful building.

Please forgive if double-post.  I'm having trouble getting it to go through.

Hi!

https://www.montecarlosbm.com/en/casino-monaco

I checked the Monaco tourism website Sociéte Bain de Mers website casino tab but couldn't find tours, is it through your cruise line? There's lots of info available on the casinos.

You know, it never occurred to me to see if there were tours of the casino building. Like you, I was not interesting in gaming but, I did very much want to take in the atmosphere of what it was like on the floor where the gaming was happening and then just walk around inside the building which to me felt more like a museum than a casino. They can try to build places like this in Las Vegas and I guess some come close to it but I'm not into Vegas (perhaps it's because they don't speak French...or Italian, or....I don't know) and for me it didn't have the intrigue or history that this casino does.

You can visit it on your own easily if you like but I suppose it depends upon your time in port and the rest of your schedule for the day. I visited the casino at night but I was staying in Monaco for two nights (I think that's what it was) because the place had long since been a source of curiosity for me. It's not most ideal place as a Cote d'Azur destination in terms of beaches or charm for some, but anyway....that's why I went at night to the casino. It was exciting to be there watching them play roulette, quietly but intently, there was even a contested wager that ended up having to be reviewed by the in-house cameras, infuriating the individual whose win was then in doubt. These were not small wagers!

I just sort of floated around. I dressed formally (though not for a ball at the palace!) to be there but that was more just for my own fun. Just being neatly attired would be enough, no sneakers or jeans in the main gaming room, but I think rules are relaxed where the slots are, I didn't head that way.

Whatever you decide to do, enjoy your time in Monte Carlo/Monaco 🙂
