Message Facility

I want to send a message to a person who has asked a question the answer to which may be personal.

 

On each members profile is an 'envelope' symbol with the word 'Message' along side it.

 

When I click on the symbol a new box appears telling me..."You are only allowed to send 0 messages per day. Please try again later"

 

Have I been blocked from messaging or is there a reason for the facility not functioning please?

Private messaging has never been available on Cruise Critic.  Never.

That is true but since that Envelope is there it is not surprising that people don't know that history or that the messaging function in the forum software is not enabled.

The envelope appears because Admins and Moderators are able to message members....and members can message them back.
