Receipt tips for bars

I hate receiving $0 receipts with the drink package and refuse to sign them. We carry ones, and a couple of fives, so if we are sitting in one place for a long time we can tip appropriately. As mentioned, they will print/bring you a receipt if you want one.

From past experiences if you tip a good amount to cash to the same bartender they will take care of you. They are good at remembering who you are

We always bring at least one pack of 50 one dollar bills which we keep in the safe. We draw a few from that each night to carry with us for our drink tips. With or without receipts, we prefer to tip cash. That way they can make the decision if they pool tips or keep them individually.
