tring Posted June 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2019 (edited) We are thinking of booking an around South America cruise on Aurora, but will only be able to afford an inside or outside cabin. I have had problems a number years ago on Ventura because of a very dry atmosphere in our cabin. I am asthmatic and found it quite difficult to breathe at times, but we have been on Oceana a few times and not had that problem. Can I ask if P&O tend to keep their cabins very dry or if my experience on Ventura was a one off. Any advise from someone who has experience of Aurora would be very useful to me. jeanlyon Posted June 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2019 Just back from Aurora in an inside cabin. No problem at all. However, I think some people boil the kettle to introduce some humidity into the cabin. All aircon is drying.
john watson Posted June 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2019 Setting the aircon to as neutral a setting as possible (not cold not hot) helps as does leaving water in sink or wet towel thrown on floor of shower unit overnight. Very cold settings mean a much larger volume of air, dry air. Regards John
Legal Stylist Posted June 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2019 I also have just got back from Aurora. Was in a large inside cabin. Even though I love hot showers, and my husband loves a coffee, we had no humidity concerns at all. Hope that helps.
