New to Holland America - July 4th discounts?

My wife and I have just finished our first ever cruise on RCL Anthem. Great trip and we both really enjoyed. We are looking at booking up for our next cruise in November. We already have flights booked into Miami from UK so trying to decide on the best cruise(s) to take.

We have narrowed it down to 2 options - Holland America Koningsdam on the 13th November and a combination with Norwegian on the 11th November followed immediately by the Symphony of the Seas on the 16th November from Miami. By far the best prices are for the Koningsdam (approx $3k) compared to the Sun/Symphony (approx $5k).

Before we do any booking, just wondered if we could expect any offers on the 4th July that might be of some benefit for us?

You can always rebook if the price drops. Just be aware if you have a non-refundable deposit and you may loose some promotional perks if your getting any from your original booking. We have sailed on the Koningsdam on 4 cruises.

OP is from UK, where rebooking is not possible!  Deposits will be forfeit if you cancel or try to change!

Also, different promotion for European cruisers (and UK cruisers! 😉) compared to US offers.

@Digjharper  That is a great cruise on the Koningsdam, we did it in March this year.  Don't forget Euros for Martinique and that you will not have roaming charges on your mobile in Martinique as it is included in the EU Roaming Directive!

As you are aware, there is currently no promotion covering the November or the Caribbean.  Last year around mid August, HAL offered Explore 4 promotion, which was a drinks package, a free dinner in the Pinnacle Grill and spending credit for Suite passengers as well as flexibility in the booking. (it really should have been called Explore 2+2)

Also keep checking the HAL UK website as the do have occasional 'Top Ten' sales for specific cruises, with quite good prices.  The full fare needs to be paid straight off for the Top Ten offers, but as you would now be nearly up to final payment, it would be much of a muchness!

Can't tell you what to do, but if it was me, I would be holding tough a while longer and keeping an eye on website and the available cabins.

Well that stinks! But good to know for context.
