Self Assist Boarding

We did self assist debarkation in NOLA last year and swore we'd do it from now on, so easy!  But how does it work in Port Canaveral for boarding?  How does security handle bringing all luggage on board ourselves?  Only a couple pieces, but still not sure how they work it.

I ALWAYS carry on my luggage by way of two carry-ons.  My husband will check his.  But we have always purchased FTTF but now are Platinum, so our rooms are ready upon boarding.  I doubt I would carry on all of my luggage if I couldn't take it to the room after boarding.  It's hard enough carrying around a carry-on and large purse.  BUT, if you do take your luggage on in Port Canaveral, it's easy.
